Jonathan Lundquist Watch Project

Watch Project
The purpose of this project was to create a vector watch using Adobe Suite mainly, Adobe Illustrator. First of all I started with sketching out different ideas for the face, hands and other parts of the watch before committing to anything on digital.
From here you can see different ideas were just flowing. I didn't commit to anything and I just wanted to start getting ideas down. The more ideas that are down, the easier I will be able to change something if it doesn't work out later in the design process, rather than having to return to the drawing board.
Following my initial sketches I made a first draft of what I wanted to go with. I wanted to do a Dengquin watch, featuring black and silver accents. But at this point, I didn't have any texture or roundness to the watch. After further review, it was also pointed out that there was missing alignments, and small things to fix with the perspective. So that was what I went on to fix next.
From that point, I went and established some texture in the metal and in the leather. I rounded out some corners and fixed some lighting issues. I also changed the lettering to be more realistic. Furthermore, shadows were allowed to be more visible after this point. Leaving me with a final project that I think looks rather strong, and that the client was happy with.
